Welcome to American Legion Post 67
The American Legion was established in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization focusing on service to veterans, service members, and our communities. In the past 100 years, the American Legion has influenced social change in America, won hundreds of benefits for veterans, and produced many important programs for children and youth through a focus on the four pillars that form the foundation of our organization; Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security and Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation.
The Lopeman-Potts Post 67, Department of Maine, was established on November 4, 1919, and like the American Legion, supported our Veterans, their families, and the Bridgton Community. While our programs may have changed over the years, our focus has not; our desire to improve the well-being of all veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
I invite you to come and visit the post any time the flags are out, share a cup of coffee on a Wednesday morning, attend a post-meeting, or drop in to ask a question. We need your support to continue our mission, and we invite you to learn how you can become a force in the Bridgton Community by supporting our Veterans, their families, and our youth.
Welcome aboard,
Deborah Tasker-Brady, Commander, Post 67
